My name is Madeleine Bonnallie. I am currently a Sophomore at Drake University with a goal of one day working somewhere that allows me to write about topics that I am passionate about. Below I’ve listed my accomplishments and skills.

Work History

Circulation Worker – Cowles Library 2019 – Present

As a circulation worker, my job consists of answer patron questions, taking questions over the phone, shelving books, and working alongside the other library departments to create a comfortable and accessible environment for the guests.

Copywriter and Digital – Zealot Branding/ 2018 – Present

Zealot Branding is a marketing company that works with a wide range of companies. My job includes market research, writing blog posts, helping with web design, social media posts, and copywriting.

Substitute Teacher – Jenks Public Schools/ 2018

While substitute teaching, it was my responsibility to oversee 30+ children, making sure everyone stayed on task and completed the lessons left by the teacher. This required classroom management, conflict resolution, and time management. 

Math Tutor and Nanny – Childcare/ 2013 – Present


B.A. English/B.A. Journalism • May 2021 • Drake university

I am currently the secretary for Active Minds, as well as a member of the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma, Drake Outdoor Leadership Club, and the English Honor Society.

I was involved in documentary film making for 3 years, historian and secretary for French club, a member of Key Club, and a member of Pre-Med Society. 

Awards and Acknowledgements

Honorable Mention/ CSPAN Student Cam

My film partner and I received an honorable mention for our documentary called “Color Me Frustrated”, which answered the question of what we thought was the most pressing issue for congress and the president to address. The documentary looked at the racial relationships broadly in our country as well as in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

Golden Key/ Scholastic Arts and Writing Award

I received a Scholastic Gold Key for my screenplay, “Brace for It”. This was in the regional division, and is similar to receiving a gold medal. 

Skills Summary

I am a hard working positive person who is looking to work in a high-energy environment with a diverse group of people. I enjoy working with the public and possess a strong technical skill background and the ability to learn new concepts quickly. I am a collaborative team member with attention to detail. I am energetic, organized, and a quick learner. I have experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
